Terms of use.

The ground rules for using this site. Plain language, no fine print.

Agreement

By using mayorsimon.ca you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site. The site is operated by the Brandon Simon for Mayor campaign in Welland, Ontario.

Using this site

You’re welcome to read, share, and quote from this site. What you may not do is interfere with it or with anyone else’s use of it — that includes attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping it at a volume that degrades service, submitting false information through the sign-up form, or using it to harass or impersonate anyone.

Accuracy of information

The campaign takes care to keep this site accurate, but nothing here is official. Policy positions, dates, and commitments may change as the campaign develops.

This matters most for election logistics. The ward map on this site is a stylized recreation for illustration, not the City of Welland’s official map, and ward boundaries changed for the October 26, 2026 election. For anything you intend to rely on — your ward, your polling station, voter registration, voting dates, or eligibility — check with the City of Welland or Elections Ontario directly.

Intellectual property

Text, design, and campaign materials on this site belong to the Brandon Simon for Mayor campaign. Photographs of Welland are by Anthony Gallaccio and are used with permission; they remain the photographer’s property and may not be reused without his consent.

You may quote or share material from this site for the purposes of news reporting, commentary, criticism, or discussion of the election. You may not present it as your own, use it to suggest endorsement the campaign hasn’t given, or reproduce it for a competing campaign.

Links to other sites

This site links to third-party sites, including the City of Welland. The campaign doesn’t control those sites and isn’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Submissions

If you send the campaign information through the Join page, you confirm it is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it. Requesting a lawn sign means confirming you have the property owner’s permission to place one. How that information is handled is set out in the privacy policy.

No warranty

This site is provided as it is. The campaign doesn’t guarantee it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or free of anything harmful, and to the extent the law allows, makes no warranties about it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the campaign and its volunteers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Ontario.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The revision date at the top of the page will change when they are, and continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.
