Many of the decisions that affect Welland are made outside City Hall.
As Mayor, I will be Welland's voice at Niagara Region, work with provincial and federal governments, and build partnerships that bring more jobs, investment and opportunities back to our community. Welland deserves a Mayor who will fight for our city wherever decisions are being made.
When Welland grows, Welland residents should benefit.
I will encourage future City agreements to maximize local hiring wherever legally possible and introduce incentives that encourage more municipal employees to make Welland their home, keeping more jobs, spending and investment in our local economy.
Every Regional tax dollar should deliver value for Welland.
I will advocate for responsible spending, expanded Community Paramedicine, practical solutions to homelessness, better transit and Regional policies that improve affordability while protecting taxpayers.
I won't wait for businesses to find Welland.
I will actively reach out to companies, manufacturers and corporations to promote Welland as a place to invest, expand and create jobs.
I will also work with Niagara Region, neighbouring municipalities and the private sector to explore partnerships that strengthen Regional transit, improve service and make Welland a more attractive place to live, work and invest.
Economic growth should create opportunities for the people who already call Welland home.
Strong communities are built by working together.
I will partner with community organizations, schools, businesses, neighbouring municipalities and senior governments to deliver practical results that improve everyday life in Welland.
Success isn't measured by meetings. It's measured by better jobs, stronger neighbourhoods, safer communities and more opportunities for residents.
